In the seventh-season opener, the team's actions in the aftermath of the loss of Prentiss are questioned by a Senate committee, and a familiar person unexpectedly appears to rally them

Criminal Minds is Not invariably the same formula. They do not always even go after serial killers, or it’s often of very different types. They do not generally ‘get their man’. When they do, it’s often by very different ways, by a contribution by way of a different ‘team member’, or sometimes by idiotic luck.

Most shows stories seem taken from actual killers and/or new events (and horror movies, like ‘Saw’), so it stays topical cream.

Criminal Minds DOES increase personal stories and on-going plot-lines of their ‘team’. Each major character is very different and has his or her strengths and weaknesses… they show both all the time. Each episode focuses one one of these the most. For a ‘cop show’, there is a large amount of heart and humor that come from the teams’ genuine tending to each other.

I like that many people use ‘brain power’ in order to resolve crimes, not fictitious lab do the job. Sure, Penny Garcia could not realistically find things since fast as she does on her behalf computer… but that adds in many of the fun and humor from the show… and speeds up the particular story.

I disagree to one more review’s here that say they demean your neighborhood cops. They often go outside of their way to stress together NOT to do of which, and get ‘dressed down’ when they did.

I learned to notify which season is which usually. IMO, S2 is my favorite, with the odd depart of Lola Glaudini’s (particularly sexy) character early within the season, then adding of Paget Brewster’s brand-new character (almost a definite copy of Lola, but not as interesting), then Mandy P’s slow breakdown, then exit in S3. Spencer’s (the small genius) role and acting gets much better in this season at the same time.

The original cast is the better, but the production values get better every season. I can tell a S1 episode by it really is cheaper looking blueish picture quality and sets (as well as how short Spencer’s tresses is).

I’ve noticed that Thomas Gibson has become a lot more the ‘star’ of the actual show after Mandy quit. He gets to indicate more emotion, more personal stories (including getting demoted, getting a divorce), and even get to complete some ‘butt kickin’.
